NOTE: All Package Payments must be made by MAY 7th Or They Will Be Forfeited.
Greetings, fellow beekeeper!! Below are details on your bee packages and how to plan for pickup! Those details are below.
First, thank you for your purchase. I am confident you will be pleased. I have had tremendous success with these bees and I truly hope you will as well.
RESERVATION ORDERS:
If you made a reservation online using the $15 hold fee, you will see an invoice shortly for the remainder of your purchase price. This year the total cost is $150 per package, so your invoice will be $135 ($150-$15). If you decide to cancel your order, please let us know ASAP and we will reassign your package.
Please note that your deposit is non-refundable.
CANCELLING YOUR ORDER:
If you need to cancel your paid-in-full order, please let us know ASAP so the bees can be reassigned to our waitlist. If you made an order online, there will be a $15 service fee on each package cancelled.
PICKUP OF YOUR BEES:
Your bees will be available for pickup on between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our location in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle on the scheduled pickup day. (Special arrangements can be made if you are unable to pickup during this time, but we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so we can be sure to schedule you.)

HOLDING PACKAGES / ABANDONMENT:
If you are unable to make it to us on the scheduled pickup day, please let us know immediately. We will not hold packages beyond one (1) day past the pickup day unless you contact us to re-schedule. All abandoned packages will be installed into a hive after one (1) day past pickup date and will become property of Woodland Bee Company. There will be no refunds on packages abandoned with Woodland Bee Company.
PRIOR TO PICKUP:
Please give us an idea when you will be coming to pick up your bee package either by email or phone/text.
To ensure we have everything prepared, please include the following:
Your Name
What type of bee you ordered (Italian, Carniolan).
How many packages you purchased.
Your estimated arrival time.
SPECIAL PICKUP:
If you cannot make it to us on the pickup day, please let us know and we will make arrangements to install your bees into a temporary cardboard nucleus hive. There will be a $20 fully refundable deposit requested that will be credited on return of the nucleus hive, or you can simply keep the box for your use.
INSTALLING YOUR BEES:
If you have not installed bees before, we have linked to a YouTube video of the procedure called a "shake method" that we have found to work well. The process described has similar packages to what yours will be but do not get distracted if it looks slightly different. The procedure is essentially the same. Please note this is NOT our video and we do not own content.
QUESTIONS, ISSUES:
We will be doing everything possible to deliver you your bees in excellent condition. Each package will be inspected for a living queen before delivery.
If you have an issue during your install or if you have concerns, we ask that you contact us immediately so we can discuss resolution. Our number one goal is for you to enjoy your bees and will do what we can to ensure this.
Please note that we will not be treating for varroa mites prior to delivery.
